Animal communication is the act of communicating with animals without the physical use of sound, sight, or touch. The process of communicating with animals is called Telepathy. Broken down, “Tele” means over distance and “pathy” is feelings, thoughts and emotions. So, in essence, animal communication is the sending and receiving of thoughts and feelings over distance. Because it is done over distance, there is no need to have the animal present in the room during the communication.

Rev. June Blackburn is an animal intuitive and healer. She works on an energetic level in both her communications and her healings. Her journey started in 2001 when she was desperately trying to find ways to help her beloved Landseer Newfoundland “Bear” who suffered from orthopaedic and heart problems. It was at this time June was introduced to spiritual healing where she specialized in animals. In the end, at age 4, Bear left the earth plane but also left Rev. June with a whole new perspective on life and living.

Since then, Rev. June has received her Registered Healers status, is a Reiki Master/Teacher (for both animals and people), studied Quantum Touch, (plus many other forms of energy healing) has an honours Diploma from Stratford Institute as a Veterinary Assistant, has studied canine massage, flower essences, life coaching, mediumship, personal growth and development and is currently looking into colour therapy. As an intuitive healer and communicator, she applies all she has learned to helping animals and their humans by way of private consultation and group workshops.

Animal communications is much more than a “job” or “title” it is a way of life. It is learning to appreciate the glimpse of the eagle as it flies overhead and knowing that you are not on your journey alone……. it is seeing the hawks and knowing that you are being taken care of and paying attention to the opportunities that fox has to offer.

Simply put, it is learning about your life – from life itself. Once you are in tune with nature, nature starts responding to you. June remembers asking to see a bear, at a safe distance for both animal and herself, on her trip to Bancroft– sure enough, she was blessed to have seen the behind of a bear cub as it scooted across the ditch and into the field. Animals (both wild and domestic) can mirror who we are (both what we like and don’t like about ourselves).

So when an animal keeps popping into your mind or if an animal scares you, look at the qualities of that animal and try to figure out what the animal may be trying to tell you about yourself. And the best part of all, when you get in tune with nature, others can’t help but follow. They can’t help but share your passion and enthusiasm.

We are all made up of energy and our thoughts are simply another form of energy. If we raise our vibration to match that of the animal’s we are able to have a two way communication with that particular animal.

We all have the ability to communicate with animals in varying degrees. All it takes is a desire, commitment and lots and lots of practice.

There are a number of reasons why people might seek the assistance of an animal communicator such as:

• Behavioural issues like inappropriate elimination, excessive barking, etc. Please note that when communicating with animals there is a respect for the animal so to simply ask an animal to stop doing a certain behaviour is not done. Instead I work on trying to find the cause of the behaviour and come to an agreeable compromise

• Health issues – I am not a medical professional so cannot give a diagnoses or prognosis however I will tell you what feelings and impressions I am receiving from the animal. Please seek medical care for your pets if you are concerned.

• Deepen the bond between animal and their human. When people compete in agility or obedience it helps the human to understand the dog’s perspective. They can then use this information and apply it to their activity of choice.

• Sometimes people are faced with major decisions concerning their pets and they like to know the animals thoughts and feelings.

• People get comfort reconnecting with animals who have crossed. Some say it helps to bring them peace and comfort.

• Just a general check in – some people simply want to know if their dog wants/needs anything and most often they want to share their love with their pets.

How to Contact your Animal

Most consultations are done via email or phone – the phone is much better for clarifying information.

1.   First Rev. June will speak with you via email or phone and find out the details of the animal and what you would like to know. She does not require a photo. At this time payment arrangements can be made which is usually in the form of a cheque mailed to her and an appointment time is set to discuss the communication.

2.   Prior to your appointment time, Rev. June will communicate with the animal and get the animal’s perspective on things as well as any healing that is necessary will be done at that time.

3.   You will call Rev. June at the appointment time to go over what she received from the animal (s). This will usually take about 30 minutes.

Bancroft Spiritual Centre is a non-judgmental place of love where all people can feel safe exploring their spirituality. We provide ministry and education for our members, friends and the community through our example and our services, based on the principles of Metaphysics and Spiritualism.

The Centre is a Spiritualist denomination, and has the ability to ordain it’s own Ministers.  We are also registered thought the Marriage Office of Ontario to provide marriage rites/ceremonies.
